FBI AIA Leadership in 2026

The FBI AIA is pleased to welcome Nikki Rutman as the new Chair of our Board of Directors. Nikki brings a wealth of experience, insight, and commitment to the intelligence profession, and we look forward to her leadership as the FBI AIA continues to grow and evolve. We are excited to work alongside Nikki as we enter the next chapter of the organization. 2026 is about bringing our growing community closer together. As our membership expands across sectors, we will focus on deeper connections, programming that elevates the intelligence profession, and development opportunities that reflect the many paths our members have taken.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Amy Sareeram for her service as Chair of the FBI AIA Board of Directors. Amy’s leadership last year involved a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes — organizing and facilitating board meetings, guiding discussion, and ensuring the organization remained aligned with our bylaws during a year marked by growth and change.

At many moments in 2025, we found ourselves returning to our bylaws to ensure we were making sound, principled decisions. Amy’s steady leadership, attention to detail, and deep sense of responsibility to the organization helped keep us grounded and moving forward. True to the way she served while in the FBI, Amy consistently showed up for this community — always in service of others and always with the mission in mind. We are deeply grateful for her time, dedication, and leadership.

Welcoming New Members of Our Board of Directors

We are pleased to welcome Gerald McMahon to the Board, bringing extensive leadership experience from FBI Boston, interagency operations, and AI-focused intelligence research to further strengthen and support the analyst community.

We are also excited to welcome Michael Maloney to the Board, whose blend of operational intelligence experience, regulatory expertise, and commitment to mentoring the next generation of analysts will help advance the AIA’s mission.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Misty Carolan, whose four years as Treasurer and Board member built the financial backbone that ensured the AIA’s stability and growth, and to Rob Gummer, a founding Board member whose early vision, leadership, and commitment to creating a professional home for FBI Intelligence Analysts laid the foundation for the strong and thriving association we are today.
