AIA @ I3 Summit in November 2025

You never know where you will find a member of the FBI Association of Intelligence Analysts! This time, we are giving you a hint – you will find a few of us at the Spy Museum in Washington, DC, on November 17 for I3: Intelligence, Innovation, Imagination. It is a conference for intelligence professionals by intelligence professionals.

AIA Member Presenter: Dr. Charles M. Russo

Dr. Charles M. Russo is a nationally recognized expert in critical thinking, intelligence analysis, and public safety leadership with over three decades of distinguished service in the US Intelligence Community, including roles with the FBI and CIA. He is a 30-year veteran of the U.S. military and federal law enforcement, specializing in counterterrorism and complex criminal investigations.

He will be there to discuss an ethical framework for ensuring that intelligence practices remain principled as more technologies are implemented in the space, with a special focus on AI. The title of his talk is "Beyond the Algorithm: An Ethical Framework for Democratized Intelligence." His talk is likely to garner a lot of interest and discussion! We can’t wait!

The AIA will be on the ground looking to talk to I3 participants and capture their impressions. Keep an eye out for us; we are very much looking forward to capturing off-the-cuff thoughts and impressions to keep the conversation going.
